We have two dogs, Razzle and Vixen. Razzle is a 4 year old, female Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She is the second of this breed that we've owned. Tollers are wonderful pets, and good duck dogs if one is so inclined. They are quiet (unless they live with an Aussie), playful, loyal and sturdy.
Vixen is a two year old, female Australian Shepherd. She is our "project dog". As Dan says, "She has issues." Vixen came to us at 6 months of age, not well socialized to strangers. She's incredibly sweet if we're around, but very cautious if we're not. She is smart and very needy, so she'll do anything to please us.
Tommy is a male Russian Tortoise, age unknown. He's that reptile the kids just had to have. They played with him at first, took him out front for daily field trips, etc. He's older now, not novel, so he's basically mom's little buddy. He's cute when he eats and digs, but he IS a reptile.
